me.time Privacy Policy

Malang Co, Ltd. (the “Company”) sets Privacy Policy in order to protect personal information of the user and to deal with the users’ difficulties with ease based on the law regarding the promotion of information and communication network use and protection of information and protection of private information.

The company is to notify the users upon amendment of the privacy policy through website, notification, or individual contact.

B. Information collecting method
The company collects the minimum, necessary information needed for the sign-up process through homepage, mobile web, and mobile app directly entered by the users following the “Agreement to Privacy Policy”. The company collects personal information in following method:

2. Purposes for collecting personal information
Information collected will be used for the following purposes. If used for other purposes, the company is to ask for permission in advance.
A. The company uses part of information to manage users
- user identification, verification, prevention of abusers (Users who violate Article 11 of the “Terms of Use”), prevention of violation or unauthorized uses, confirm registration, limit the number of registration, prevention of records to mediate disputes, 1:1 contact, inform notifications
B. The company uses information to develop new services, marketing, and promotions.

3. Providing personal information to third-party
The company uses user’s personal information within the scope of range mentioned in the “Providing personal information to third-party”. The company does not expose the users’ information without the user’s consent. However, following cases are made an exception:
- If the users have agreed in advance
- If investigate authority requires the personal information for investigative purposes, or when under the provision.
- If acquisition of the personal information for usage contract is remarkably difficult due to economic/technical reasons.
- If procedures designated by the government laws require personal information
However, the company is to inform the users under exceptional circumstances, upon the request of the investigate authority. The company is to do the best to keep the original purpose of collecting personal information and to prevent indiscreet usage of the personal information.

The company may consign part of service in order to offer enhanced service. The company is to take actions to keep the information safe during the process of consignment based on relevant regulations, and to provide the minimum information needed for operation.

The company may use specialized overseas agency in order to offer enhanced service, which result in transfer of part of personal information to overseas agency. The company is to sign contract based on relevant regulations and to keep users’ personal information safely.

6. Duration of personal information preservation
The company may own and use user’s personal information from the point of registration until to the point the service is operated. Personal information will be immediately destroyed if the user withdraws agreement on the privacy policy, of the purpose of collecting personal information has been accomplished. In this case, personal information cannot be opened nor used under any circumstances. However, information will be stored for certain amount of time under following condition.

B. When the information is necessary to be preserved based on the information possession law, e-commerce law, customer protection policy, and its relevant regulation, the company is to store personal information for certain amount of time designated by the government. In this case, the company only uses the persona information for following purposes and duration and they are as follows:

Purpose of preservation: Regulation on privacy policy and information and communication network
Duration of preservation: 6 months

Purpose of preservation: Regulation on communication privacy act
Duration of preservation: 3 months

7. Procedure of personal information destruction
- Destruction procedure
When the personal information entered at the point of registration has accomplished its purpose, it is transferred to separate DB. (In case of paper information, it would be moved to locked cabinet.) It would be stored for certain amount of time regulated by relevant regulation (refer to Duration of preservation) and be destroyed. It would not be used for any other purposes other than the government regulation.

- Destruction method
Personal information in hard-copy would be shredded or incinerated.
Personal information in soft-copy would be deleted using technical procedure.

8. Right of the user and the legal representative
- The user or the legal representative may exercise the right on personal information protection for own sake or sake of users under age of 14 anytime. The user or the legal representative may ask for unregistration when does not agree with the privacy policy. However, in this case, the user may have difficulties accessing the service or part of service.
- To view/edit the user’s personal information, use “Edit personal information” (or “Edit profile”), to unregister (cancel contract), use “Unregister”.
- The company will immediately take action when the user contacts through phone, email, or 1:1 contact center.
- The company does not use or offer personal information until it’s corrected, when the user asks for correction of wrong personal information. If wrong personal information had already given out to third-party, the company will immediately inform the third-party to correct the error.
- For cancelled or deleted personal information requested by the user, the company follows procedure mentioned in “6. Duration of personal information preservation”. The company does not use or open the information other than indicated.


9. Technical/managerial measures for personal information protection
The “Company” is doing the best to protect the users’ personal information in technical and managerial ways.
① Encrypting personal information
Important information, such as password, is encrypted, and viewing and editing information can be only done by the user.
② Preparation of hackings and countermeasures
To prevent leakage and damage of personal information due to hacking or virus, the company operates protection system 24 hours to control unauthorized access to the service, and installs vaccine program to protect system from virus and malignant code. To prepare damage of personal information may be caused, the data are frequently backed up. Furthermore, the company is doing the best to offer the safest technical procedure.
③ Keeping the minimum number of employee to manage personal information
The company only keeps the minimum number of employee to manage personal information, and frequently alerts the importance of privacy policy with regular training.
④ Operating the organization solely dedicated to personal information protection
To protect personal information, the company operates organization solely dedicated to personal information protection. If there’s any problem regarding any privacy policy and the administrator, the company will correct it immediately.
⑤ Establishing and operating the internal management plans
To manage and process personal information safely, the company establishes and operates internal management plans.
